Business and Human Rights

 

AIM:
This Course aims at equipping professionals with regulatory and human rights considerations concerning business and corporate organisations. The course is aimed at professionals interested in business and human rights, but may not possess the requisite skill and knowledge in corporate liability. The course would provide participants with cutting-edge knowledge of the theoretical issues concerning human rights and business operations as well as relevant skills required in making strategic business decisions and developing appropriate policies.

•   The UN Framework for Business and Human Rights

•   Corporate Liability and International Law
•   Gender & Age dimensions of business and human rights
•   International Human Rights Legal Regimes

EXPECTED OUTPUT/BENEFITS:


At the end of the course, participants would be equipped with relevant tools and knowledge such as: corporate liability;
ii.  Familiarisation with the practicalities of the involvement of corporations in human right violations;
iii. Examination of relevant legislations and principles; and
iv.  Case studies.
