Ghanaians crave for development with responsibility – Centre


The Centre for Corporate Responsibility, at the University of Ghana Business School, has organised a consultative workshop to seek the input of stakeholders in the formulation of the National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy.

The workshop, which took place in Tamale on Wednesday, seeks to fine tune the law to define and clarify the misconceptions about the CSR and provide guidelines to measure and hold organisations accountable on their interaction with communities.

CSR Policy should be legal - stakeholders


Stakeholders at a National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Validation Workshop in Tamale have suggested that undertaking of CSR projects should be made legal and enforceable at the law courts.

The stakeholders comprising civil society organizations, public and private sector operators, and traditional leaders, have also suggested that CSR projects should be in line with international standards to ensure sustainability.

Workshop on corporate social responsibility held in Sunyani


A consultative workshop designed to solicit inputs for the formulation of a National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy has been held in Sunyani.
The workshop was used to explain the need for a CSR policy, examine some of the key CSR issues to consider as a country and set out the key objectives of the comprehensive national policy.

Committee to draft Ghana’s CSR policy

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has put together a technical committee to draft a national Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy for the country.

The policy is expected to promote business activities that bring simultaneous economic, social and environmental benefits; work in partnership with the private sector, community bodies, unions, consumers and other stakeholders: and do other such things.

Ghana develops CSR policy


Government in partnership with the German Development Organization (GIZ-Ghana) and the Centre for Cooperation with the Private Sector, South Africa, has begun the process of developing a national policy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
